Hi

This is a great blog, have always had a curiosity about Big Sur since reading the Kerouac novel. Fantastic pictures and it's definitely going to be on one of my many trips from Scotland. Things to do soon; drive down Highway 1. As a writer myself i'm sure Big Sur would be very inspirational. Thanks.

Thanks, Jessica, for the kind words. The photo oportunities in Big Sur are almost overwhelming. You'll find yourself wanting to stop every 1/2 mile or so to catch some breathtaking scene. Thank goodness for digital cameras.

Hope you have great time. Let us know what you liked about the area.

I am so happy to have stumbled upon this blog. My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to Big Sur for his birthday in April. I order some guide books last night, but I have really enjoyed your perspective on this location. The pictures are beautiful as well, which will be my main focus when visiting. Thank you.
