By India Today Web Desk: Bollywood actor Richa Chadha is facing the wrath of netizens on social media for her ‘Galwan’ tweet in which she responded to Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi’s statement that the Indian Army is ready to to carry out orders, such as taking back Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). “Galwan says hello,” the actor tweeted as he shared a post about the statement that has now sparked controversy.

The netizens are trolling the actor for ‘mocking’ the Indian army and belittling the sacrifice of the jawans in the 2020 Galwan clash between India and China. BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa called the tweet “disgraceful” and said, “Shameful tweet. Should be withdrawn at the earliest. Offending our armed forces is not justified.” (sic).

Shiv Sena spokesperson (Uddhav faction) Anand Dubey demanded that Maharashtra CM Ekanth Shinde and Home Minister Amit Shah take strict action against the actor’s ‘anti-national’ tweet.

Former National Vice President of BJYM Neeraj Jain also criticized Richa Chadha for her tweet and asked the social media users to report the actor’s account for demeaning comments about the Indian Army.

Another user wrote: “Mocking the sacrifice of our soldiers in the Galwan Valley. Shameful and disgraceful.” (sic).

The actor recently married Ali Fazal and hosted their wedding receptions and parties in Delhi and Lucknow.

Northern Army commander Lt. Gen. Upendra Dwivedi said on Tuesday that the Indian The army is ready to fulfill any order given by the Government of India, including taking back Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
